What's New For 2022?

With a full redesign for 2022, the latest Nissan Frontier here in the Dulles area is better than ever. On the outside, the front grille has been enlarged with some rugged styling added to the mix. Inside, the cabin gets updated, notably with a larger infotainment touchscreen. Meanwhile, the previous versions' once-available four-cylinder has been dropped, with all editions of the new Nissan Frontier using a dynamic V-6 to get you moving.

Performance and Technology

As we just mentioned, the only engine you'll find with the new 2022 Nissan Frontier is a 3.8-liter V-6, providing 310 horsepower with 281 pound-feet of torque. As you shop for the perfect setup, you'll do well letting us know what kinds of towing and hauling you need to do, and we'll find you the right fit for a max payload of 1,610 pounds, or for max trailering at 6,720 pounds. A dynamic 4x4 system is offered as well, with some versions of the Frontier proving to be solid off-roaders.

Even with most of the focus going toward utility and capabilities, the new 2022 Frontier is loaded with smart Nissan technology. In the base level, you'll start off with an 8-inch touchscreen with smartphone integration, along with forward collision mitigation for safety. In the higher trims, you'll add more tech in every area, including with an optional full suite of driver aids like lane departure warning and blind-spot monitoring.
